ROSEANNE {4.01 A BITTER PILL TO SWALLOW}
Becky: Hey Dad.
Dan: Hey guys, how was lunch?
Mark: It was cool.
Dan: Is it ever not cool, Mark?
Mark: Huh?
Dan: Never mind.
Becky: What time will you pick me up?
Mark: Around 8.
Becky: I lvoe you.
Mark: You too.
Dan: So, lunch was good?
Mark: Yup.
Dan: What'd you eat?
Mark: Taco's.
Dan: Mexican.
Mark: Yeah.
Dan: Well the bike's back there. Customer, I'll be out front.
Mark: Cool.

Roseanne: How is it going?
Dan: Cool.
Roseanne: Hi there Mark.
Mark: Hey.

Mark: Some thing I can do for you, Mr Connor?
Dan: No, I'm cool. What is this doing here?
Mark: I was using it.
Dan: Using it?
Mark: Yeah.
Dan: Is that how you threat my wrench. You use it and then you toss it a side in a puddle of grease?
Mark: Sorry.
Dan: This wrench was brand new, never even been touched. And you janked it out of the wrap and did god knows what with it and you're just gonna leave it laying there just like that?
Mark: I was gonna use it again.
Dan: Oh, no buddy. I don't care what you do with all your little other wrenches, but this is my wrench. And I want it returned to me in exactly the same condition as you found it. Have you got that, Mark? Is that clear? Is that cool? Excuse me.

ROSEANNE {4.11 KANSAS CITY, HERE WE COME}
Howard: Are you gonna hit me too?
Dan: Becky hit you?
Howard: No, fun boy over there. Look I already promised him I'd apologies to Becky the minute she walks in and I'm making her cashier, so what more do you people want from me?
Dan: I don't know yet, I'll get back to you. Excuse me. Hey, hey, what the hell is going on here?
Mark: Mr. Connor, everything's under control, you can go home now.
Dan: I don't want to go home. Did you hit that guy?
Mark: Damn right I did.
Dan: What gives you the right to do that?
Mark: I'm her boyfriend.
Dan: Well, I'm her father.
Mark: So what, now you're mad at me?
Dan: No, not really.
Mark: So what's the problem?
Dan: The problem is, maybe I wanted to hit him.
Mark: So hit him.
Dan: No, you ruined it.
Mark: Well, I'm sorry. I was here, so I hit him.
Dan: Well, next time check with me first and if I don't want to hit him, then you can hit him.
Mark: Okay.
Dan: Not that I would have hit him, but if I wanted to it would have been nice if I could have.
Mark: Okay.
Dan: Okay.
Mark: I only hit him once, right in the gut.
Dan: Did he puke?
Mark: No, but he wanted to. You could tell.
Dan: Alright, I guess I'm done here.
Mark: Yeah, I'm just gonna hang around. Make sure this Howard guy apologizes to Becky.
Dan: Good work.
Mark: You're welcome.
Dan: If I had hit him, he would have puked.

Dan: Come in.
Mark: Hey.
Dan: Hey Mark.
Mark: Is Becky ready yet?
Dan: Becky. She'll be down in a minute.
Mark: Hey Mrs. Connor.
Roseanne: Yeah, hey.

Becky: You beat him up? That's why he apologized? You can't just walk in there like some dumb animal and beat up my boss.
Mark: Now wait a minute the guy called you..
Becky: I know what he called me, okay? And I know how to take care of myself. Now his apology means nothing.
Mark: I just thought..
Becky: Oh no, you didn't think at all. You never think.
Mark: Okay, we're gonna be late for this party.
Becky: Don't you get it? I'm not going with you to some stupid party. Now get out.
Mark: Okay.
Dan: See you, Mark.
Roseanne: I miss him already.

ROSEANNE {4.15 THE BACK STORY}
Mark: You got to power up before you're dead.
Dan: What happened?
Mark: You're dead. The skeleton stabbed you through the heart. That's your blood.
Dan: Oh man, DJ's gonna love this. Once we give it to him, we're never gonna see him again.

Mark: That's it.
Dan: Yup.
Mark: You know you didn't have to come down here tonight, Mr. Connor. I could handle this myself.
Dan: I had some paper work.
Mark: Are you gonna let Becky have the car?
Dan: You know about that already?
Mark: Well, she called me right after you left the house.
Dan: And what advice did you have for her, Mark?
Mark: I asked her why she wanted an old lady car.
Dan: Interesting approach.
Mark: Yeah, they worked it all out without you.
Dan: Ha. What exactly did they work out?
Mark: Well your wife gets her mother's car and Becky gets your wife's old car. Becky keeps working and if you'll still pay half she goes and get a better one.
Dan: Did they leave me any cake?
Bev: Dan?
Dan: In here.
Bev: Oh hello.
Dan: Bev, this is Mark. Mark this is Becky's grandma.
Mark: Hey.
Bev: Is this the boyfriend?
Dan: It is.
Bev: Well, I see what Becky sees in you. You look like that fonzie fellow that's so popular these days.
Mark: Thanks, ehm, nice to meet you, see you tomorrow Mr. Connor.
Dan: Hey..

ROSEANNE {4.17 BREAKING UP IS HARD TO DO}
Becky: I don't believe you, Mark.
Mark: I don't even know what your problem is.
Becky: Well, maybe that's the problem.
Mark: Well, just forget it.
Becky: Don't you slam that door on me.
Roseanne: Finally, something worth watching.
Becky: You take me to a party where I don't know anybody, then you ditch me for your friends.
Mark: Andy got a new car, we went for a ride.
Becky: Well, as long as you're having fun then that's all that counts, right? What was I suppose to do, Mark?
Mark: What you always do. Sit in the corner and whine about my friends.
Becky: Oh you don't care about me at all.
Mark: This again.
Becky: Yeah, well, when was the last time we did something I wanted to do?
Mark: Well, you wanted to leave the party and we left the party.
Becky: So why don't you go back there, Mark. Do you can be with your friends who are obviously more important to you then I am.
Mark: Well that's garbage.
Becky: Well, what about Thanksgiving, huh? I went through a lot of trouble to get you invited to diner and you just ran off to Chicago with Andy and Rick.
Mark: I didn't exactly wanted to hang out with your parents.
Becky: Well nobody wants to be hanging out with my parents, Mark. You would have been doing it for me.
Mark: Alright, this one time.
Becky: All the time. It seems that we have the same fight whenever we go out, when is this going to change?
Mark: We're not going to talk about our relationship again, are we?
Becky: No, I don't think we have a relationship anymore.
Mark: Oh, what's that suppose to mean?
Becky: It means, I'm sick of it. I'm sick of fighting, I'm sick of the way you treat me. I'm sick of you. Goodbye Mark.

Mark: Well, this one's done.
Dan: How am I suppose to charge you for 3 hours of labor when you're done in 45 minutes?
Mark: Want me to start on the next one?
Dan: Don't you want to get out of here?
Mark: Are you saying I got nothing to do? You know, I can get a date real easy. I just happen to need the extra cash, is that okay?
Dan: You're not going to run out of here crying, are you?

Mark: Hey Becky.
Becky: Hello Mark.
Dan: I'll just leave you two...
Becky: Why would we want to be alone?
Dan: I don't have an answer to that.
Mark: I heard you out here. I figured you might want this back.
Becky: Okay.
Mark: Well, I've got to get back to work, so..
Dan: Well, I guess it takes a big man to return an earring.

Mark: So am I fired?
Dan: No, no, no, no I need a mechanic, but I can't have her mad at me all the time. I got to find something that's gonna make her happy and me happy. Hey, do you mind if I smack you around a little bit?

Mark: Could you tell Becky, I'm here?
Roseanne: Becky's not home right now, Mark.
Mark: Her car's out front.
Roseanne: She's not home.
Mark: Is she out with that Dean guy?
Roseanne: I don't know if that's any of your business, Mark.
Jackie: I'm gonna be in the kitchen.
Mark: Well, have you been telling her that I called?
Roseanne: Yes, Mark.
Mark: Yeah, I'm sure you have.
Roseanne: What? Are you calling me a liar? Hey, I have a husband and a boss, I have no need to lie to you.
Mark: So why hasn't she called me back then?
Roseanne: Well, maybe she doesn't want to call you back, Mark. Maybe when she said it was over, it really was over.
Mark: Like you didn't have anything to do with that either, like you don't run her whole life.
Roseanne: You think she listens to me?
Mark: Come on, you've had it in for me since day one, always putting me down. Calling me a jerk.
Roseanne: Yeah and the more names I called you, the more money I had to spend on birth control pills.
Mark: You won't admit it will you? You're the reason we broke up. If once you treated me decently, me and Becky..
Roseanne: Hey, I would have treated you like a king, if you had shown my daughter any respect. If you just once thought about her before you thought about yourself, well, then you wouldn't be here right now trying to blame this whole thing on me, now would you Mark? Now quit wasting my time and get out of my house.
Mark: Fine.
