+ From the age of five, Barry spent three years traveling with his family to places like Fiji, Tahiti and New Zealand on a boat which they built themselves.

+ Won Outstanding Theatrical Motion Picture at the 2006 Western Heritage Awards together with the cast and crew of The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada.

+ Was Nominated for Best Supporting Male at the 2006 Independent Spirit Awards for his role on The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada.
