Perabo told Fancast that her character Annie will be reunited with her former partner Ben (Eion Bailey).

Even Perabo doesn’t know what will happen to Annie as the season progresses. In the pilot, viewers learn Annie had a whirlwind romance with a man named Ben Mercer (Eion Bailey) that ended abruptly.
“Ben has more connections to her work than Annie realizes. I think I know less now than I knew when we started. As I’ve seen more of the Ben Mercer character, it’s gotten muddier about whose side he’s on,” she said. “Somebody asked me the other day if we’re going to find out who he is by the end of this season, and even I don’t know that.
